Our philosophy is to bring genuine choice to the ethically minded Australian consumer. Soap in a Nutshell provides you with the real option to choose a product that is:
- Genuinely natural: they grows on trees.. how much more natural can you get?!
- Economical: Soap in a Nutshell soapnuts work out cheaper per load than any alternative we have come across - be they commercial detergent or 'greener' alternatives. We don't believe that you should have to choose between price and your conscience
- Sustainable and renewable: soapnuts have been growing in the wild for centuries in the area we source them from. Our supplier continues to harvest them in a sustainable manner. Shells which are broken during the harvest and drying process are used to create soapnut powder which we will be maing available soon!
- Cruelty free: not tested on animals

- Limited environmentally impact:we ship our soapnuts rather than using airfreight (airfreight creates 50 times more CO2), use only 100% recycled paper for communications and use low-impact minimalist packaging. As of June 2008 all invoicing and remittance will be done soley via e-mail unless otherwise specified. We actively contribute to projects to offset our small carbon footprint and only buy renewable energy and we are implementing an action plan following 'Project Paper-Less'.
